The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult is part of a network of world-leading centres designed to transform the UK’s capability for innovation in specific areas and help drive future economic growth.
The catapult network was established by Innovate UK to support innovation by UK businesses. They do this by providing access to expert technical capabilities, equipment and other resources required to take innovation ideas from concept to reality.
Each Catapult specialises in a different area of technology but they all offer innovative facilities and expertise to enable businesses and researchers to collaboratively solve key problems and develop new products and services on a commercial scale.
Catapults are not-for profit, independent centres which connect businesses with the UK’s research and academic communities. To find out more about the Catapult programme, please view the Catapult network report.
After less than five years of operations, the Catapult programme has already delivered extensively on the commitment to transform the UK’s capability for innovation in specific areas and help drive future economic growth.
