Interim Management Accountant

The Interim Management Accountant will provide cover across multiple finance functions, having a focus on controls activities and working closely with a team of Fionance Business Partners to provide support across the organisation.   

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate reporting of project and department performance, including project/cost centre accruals, prepayments and month end reporting (MIC)  
  • Support in the preparation and consolidation of accurate, timely and concise Management accounting information & month end reporting packs. Including site department KPI’s, Budgets, Forecast, Actuals, Variance analysis and commentary (MIC)   
  • Prepare and maintain Balance sheet reconciliations to include investigating and resolving any aged balances and highlighting any risk to the Financial Controller (BMIC & Controls)  
  • Supporting the P2P (Accounts Payable) function to include supplier management, daily supplier invoice processing, exceptions reporting and investigate aging transactions/invoices (BMIC & Ltd)  
  • Provide focused support for delivery of annual statutory audit, financial statements and tax computations to include interim audit deliverables, final audit pack preparation, liaison with external auditors on a day-to-day basis and providing ad hoc analysis as required to help ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory requirements (Group Financial Controls)  
  • Responsible for accurate reporting of project performance, including project accruals and month end reporting   
  • To provide financial management of CAPEX projects, including consultancy to Project Managers/Heads of Department, to maintain CAPEX forecast (with Financial Controller) and to ensure correct accounting treatment of fixed assets  
  • Business partner with Project Managers and Business Development teams through the project life cycle   
  • Monitor performance against budgets on a regular basis and work with budget managers to ensure accurate forecasts are prepared with due consideration of risk and opportunities  
  • Take an active role in budget and forecasting process working alongside departmental heads to ensure accuracy and ownership of figures  
  • Other duties commensurate with the role 
Experience: 
  • Experience of working within an FRS102 and IFRS environment  
  • Strong ERP and FP&A systems experience   
  • Strong  post qualified experience  
  • Demonstrable strong analytical skills to solve complex problems

Education / Qualifications: 
  • ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified with strong post qualified experience
