Interim Management Accountant

Providing maternity cover across the finance functions this role has a focus on controls activities, with requirements to partner across the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Complete month end tasks - ensuring accurate representation of the financial position and providing updated forecasts in a timely fashion.
  • Involvement in budget preparation, providing business partnering and review.
  • Ensure robust balance sheet, completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
  • Completion of schedules for annual audit alongside heavy involvement in the overall audit process.
  • Suppling ad-hoc breakdowns as required by the senior leadership team.
  • Completion of monthly cashflow forecast and working with the financial controller around treasury management.
  • Overview of intercompany postings, and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Continuous review of fixed assets, reviewing spend against budget, alongside reviewing usage of current assets.
  • Assist with corporation tax submissions and VAT submissions.
  • Provide support on project management where required.
  • Ad hoc projects / tasks, as required.


  • Experienced in forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong control and process experience.
  • Experience using SAP by Design and Board MIT an advantage.

Education / Qualifications

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
