Marketing and Events Executive

Purpose of Role:

The Marketing and Events Executive will be responsible for the running of events and supporting the activities of the marketing and communications team, helping to drive the business forward to ensure continuous visibility and backing by academia, industry, and Government, through the development of meaningful, engaging, and relevant content and activities. This role may require some travel nationally and internationally, as required, to support activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage coordination, organisation and presence at events including organising internal delegates, and inviting participants.
  • Demonstrate the return on investment and evaluate impact of events including following up of leads with relevant teams.
  • Support with creation of marketing materials including reports, videos, banners, printed materials, and giveaways.
  • Lead on all event logistics ensuring all necessary planning is in place and that banner, stands, and other materials are available.
  • Management of marketing inventory, keeping track of and renewing stock.
  • Coordination with the Business Development and technical teams, and other groups attending and hosting events.
  • Maintain up to date the image library and marketing shared drive.
  • Support the wider marketing and communications team with administrative tasks such as invoicing, raising POs, and budget tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure that marketing materials are up to date with approved CGT Catapult messaging and branding, and to support the delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Manage incoming enquiries from the CGT Catapult website, and action day to day CRM updates.
  • Management of CGT Catapult memberships, optimising member opportunities and keeping track of renewals.
  • Development of event focused website content and supporting copy.
  • Run and manage webinars.
  • Run integrated campaigns across all channels around key CGT Catapult publications and events.


  • At least 2 years’ experience in an events or marketing and communications support role ideally in biotech or healthcare industry would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in online and face to face events management.
  • Demonstratable experience of creating marketing materials.
  • Proven experience of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Have demonstrable experience of working in a marketing role interacting with multiple stakeholders.

Education / Qualifications:

  • A degree in a biological science is preferable but not essential.
  • A Marketing qualification is advantageous.
