Commercial Readiness Advice Clinics

Why sign up for a commercial readiness advice clinic?

It is our mission to accelerate the commercialisation of cell and gene therapy products and technologies and support the growth of cell and gene therapy companies in the UK.

The commercial readiness advice clinics provide eligible companies 12 hours of expert, tailored support to assess the current status of your product, enabling you to maximise its potential and accelerate it towards commercialisation. This is your opportunity to have an independent assessment on the current status and commercial readiness of your product. In collaboration with you, we will identify gaps, risks and mitigations that can help your product progress towards industrialisation.

The advice clinics are geared towards helping you:

  • de-risk your approach
  • accelerate your development times
  • increase possibility of accessing funding and finding routes to inwards investment

How are the advice clinics structured?

In collaboration with an eligible company, we create a 12 hour programme of tailored support from the following teams:

  • Process development
  • Clinical development
  • Health economics and reimbursement
  • Regulatory
  • Manufacturing
  • Clinical adoption
  • Grant preparation

Working closely with you, we define your needs, aims, and the current status of your product through an initial discussion. Our teams then carry out a commercial readiness review and present the summary results to you in an output discussion.

  1. If you have further questions after reading this page, please get in touch.
  2. Register your interest in an advice clinic by sending us an email, specifying:
  • contact person and contact details
  • name of company
  • location where company is registered
  • type of support that you would like to receive (any or all areas listed above)

Our team will then contact you to arrange a briefing call to discuss your eligbility and arrange for next steps.

  1. Briefing call: During the short briefing call, we will run through the eligibility criteria, approval process and any initial questions you might have on the running of the project.
  2. Initial discussion meeting: The aim of this meeting is to collaboratively outline the focus of the advice clinic and to introduce you to the compliance of the project, including the forms that need to be completed. We will have a in-depth discussion to define together your needs and scope of the project, as well as the information you will need to provide.
  3. Confirmation of eligibility: We will collect the necessary information for you but we will require your input in finalising the forms prior to starting the project.
  4. Providing background information: You will need to provide us with any relevant relevant background information for the project.

The 12 hours of support are structured as follows:

  1. Analysis: Our specialists will carry out a paper-based analysis and assessment of your work focussing on your priorities and needs that we identified collaboratively in the initial discussion.
  2. Output discussion: During this meeting, we will discuss the analysis that was carried out and provide you with a one-page summary report. This is an opportunity to have an open discussion with our specialists.
  3. Delcaration of outcomes: You will be required to complete a set of close-out forms.
