As a responsible employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a non- discriminatory and respectful working environment for our employees. We want all our employees to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion. We recognise and adhere to the principles of the UK Universities Concordat for Research Integrity.

Our supply chain is limited, and we procure goods and services from a restricted range of UK and overseas suppliers. We expect our collaborators and suppliers to uphold similar values and ensure we have appropriate contractual procedures in place with all people and organisations we work with.

EVALUATING SUPPLIERS

Our procurement assessment of potential suppliers seeks assurances that the supplier is committed to adhering to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and, where appropriate, that they have published a Modern Slavery Statement in line with UK legislation and that they maintain healthy supply chains.
