Scottish Advanced Therapies and Vaccine Network Event: Supporting sustainable growth: developing skills for the future.

The event provides an opportunity for us to explore how we can meet the skills demands of Scotland’s growing advanced therapies and vaccines sector through a mixture of talks and interactive discussion - including:

  • Insights into current and future skills demand within the advanced therapies sector, presented by Stephen Stewart, Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult
  • Information on relevant resources and skills initiatives, and examples of industry best practice, including an update from Sarah Hunt, Skills Development Scotland; and RESILIENCE, UK Medicines Manufacturing, Skills Centre of Excellence
  • Discussion around what further support would help further upskill Scotland’s workforce
  • A networking drinks reception

The evening event will follow directly on from an afternoon session hosted by the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC), who are celebrating Scottish Apprenticeship Week by providing an opportunity for potential and existing ATAC employers to meet apprentices, employers, and training providers, and hear first-hand about the benefits of supporting apprenticeships. Both events are taking place in the same venue and you can register for one or both via the same booking link.

About the Network

The Scottish Advanced Therapies and Vaccines Network is coordinated by the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, and supported by Scottish Enterprise. We support the advanced therapies and vaccine sectors in Scotland, and beyond, by providing opportunities for colleagues to connect and collaborate.
